The best of two worlds with iDome
Our hybrid skylight is a combination of a flat roof window and a plastic skylight. So you can enjoy the unique benefits of both. This skylight consists of a compact, insulating PVC frame and super insulating safety glass HR++. Hybrid skylights are soundproof and burglar-resistant, impact-resistant and have perfect air- and watertightness. The plastic skylight dome also provides a self-cleaning effect in the rain.
This frame is made of PVC, a material known for its good insulating properties.
HR++ means high efficiency glass with double glazing. This type of glass is very effective in reducing heat loss.
Layered laminated glass consists of several layers of glass with a synthetic layer in between. This makes the glass extra strong and prevents it from breaking into sharp pieces when broken.
Tempered glass is specially treated and extra strong and resistant. When it breaks, it shatters into small, grainy pieces instead of sharp shards.
The iDome is always combined with a plastic skylight of your choice, which contributes to perfect insulation. This combination provides a double barrier against the elements.

The maximum daylight surface is equal to the daylight size, resulting in an abundance of natural daylight. Fixed or openable version
The openable version of the Skylux iDome is pre-assembled on a PVC curb 20/00 EP and optionally includes built-in LED lighting and/or electric interior sunblind / blackout blind / insect screen. Both options are operated by remote control.

Our flat roof windows are recommended with a straight 20/00 curb, which means that the light surface area entering from a 100x100 cm window is actually 1 m². Unlike competitors who use splayed curbs that provide a smaller daylight surface as the dimensions of the roof opening are larger than the actual daylight size. This means that you have to purchase a larger skylight from our competitors to get the same 1m² of natural daylight.
