The adapter frame is a highly insulating PVC frame, filled with EPS insulation, designed to bridge size or profile differences between a new Skylux skylight and an existing curb. It is airtight, watertight and stable and features:

• a connecting flange with triple sealing,
• an inner cavity for plaster finish or concealing cable ducts,
• compatibility with wooden, polyester or concrete curbs.

• You want to switch to a modern skylight or flat roof window.
• The existing curb has a different daylight opening, height or drip line.
• You do not want to dismantle or modify your current curb.

This is ideal for partial renovations or when replacing older skylights from other brands with your new Skylux skylight or flat roof window.

Yes! If your curb is watertight and still structurally sound, you do not need to replace it. With the Skylux adapter frame, you can easily place a new Skylux flat roof window (iWindow²/iWindow³) or a (hybrid) skylight (iDome) on your existing curb — even if it is from another brand or has a different profile.

Yes. It is specially designed for non-Skylux curbs that differ slightly in daylight size or profile, including curbs with or without a drip line.

• Works with curbs that are slightly larger or smaller than the Skylux daylight size.
• Compatible with Skylux flat roof windows (iWindow²/iWindow³) and plastic skylights (acrylic or polycarbonate).

• CE-approved according to EN 1873:2014 + A1:2016.

Your curb must be at least 150 mm high, measured from the finished roof surface. In addition, it must be completely watertight and strong enough to carry all vertical loads.

Yes. The renovation frame offers excellent insulation thanks to the EPS-filled PVC structure and the tight triple sealing. The total U-value of the assembled unit (skylight + frame + curb) can drop to 0.66 W/m²K with an iWindow³.

The frame is fixed directly onto the existing curb using suitable exterior screws. Important guidelines:

• Screw only into the top groove of the frame.
• Place the first screw at ± 60 mm from the corner, with a maximum spacing of ≤ 400 mm.
• The roof sealing must not extend over the adapter frame.
• Always make sure that the screws of the skylight do not overlap with those of the adapter frame.

• Hybrid skylights: iDome
• Plastic skylights: Skylux models in acrylic or polycarbonate

All versions are supported, both fixed and opening models.
