Acrylic glass (PMMA) is also called PLEXIGLAS®. This synthetic material is highly transparent. The impact resistance of acrylic glass is 10 times higher than normal glass that is equally thick. Furthermore, acrylic glass is UV resistant, so there is no yellowing or loss of lighttransmission, even after many years.

Polycarbonate (PC) is the best choice if you are looking for an unbreakable skylight. The impact-resistance of this synthetic material is 250 times higher than glass that is equally thick. That is why we call it an ‘armoured skylight‘. The polycarbonate that we use is UV-resistant, so the skylight maintains its colour and light transmission.

Both materials offer:

• UV resistance, no yellowing
