Measure your curb
The adapter frame is placed on top of your existing curb - the raised edge on your flat roof that supports the skylight. This lets you install a new skylight or flat roof window without demolition work. Always measure from edge to edge: the outside of the curb, including the roofing. Three dimensions: width, length and height.
1 · FROM ABOVE — WIDTH & LENGTH
Place your tape measure along the outer edge: from outside to outside. Measure both the width and the length. Not the inner opening.
2 · FROM THE SIDE — HEIGHT
Old curbs are rarely perfectly straight. Measure in several places and use the largest dimension.
Measure the outer size from edge to edge, including the roofing.
Measure the width and length separately.
Find your measured size in the table below. Next to that size, you will find the daylight size you need. Order the frame with that daylight size.
The daylight size corresponds to the dimensions listed for all other products, such as skylights and flat roof windows. You will also find the daylight size in the product title, for example “1200 x 1200 mm”. The first dimension is always the width, the second dimension is the length.
Example:
You measure 1350 mm wide and 1350 mm long, from edge to edge. Both dimensions fall between 1300 and 1390 mm. You then order a frame with daylight size 1200 x 1200 mm.
