We understand that navigating technical issues or unexpected situations can sometimes be challenging. Our goal with this page is to provide you with clear, step-by-step guidelines and information that can help you quickly and effectively resolve common issues with your Skylux skylight.
If you want to avoid condensation problems, it is essential to place the product on a PVC, metal or GRP curb. Avoid wooden curbs as these can hold moisture and increase the chance of condensation. Check your curb material and replace if necessary.
A correct installation height is crucial for a smooth functioning. Make sure your installation has a height of 15 cm. This not only prevents condensation problems, but also guarantees the lifespan of your product. Measure the height and adjust if it does not match.
To achieve the right air tightness, we recommend that you also seal the curb on the rafter construction.
Screw the curb to the fixed roof construction through the indication line of the flange (wood screw 5.2 x 60 mm or steel screw 4.8 x 60 mm). Start 7.5 cm from the ends with a maximum centre distance of 30 cm.
It may seem like a small detail, but using the right screws can make a big difference. Always use the screws that come with your product and make sure they are tightened properly. Check the fixings and replace any unsuitable screws.
