We understand that navigating technical issues or unexpected situations can sometimes be challenging. Our goal with this page is to provide you with clear, step-by-step guidelines and information that can help you quickly and effectively resolve common issues with your Skylux iWindow or iDome.
Make sure that the clips, with the whole unit of frame and glass, are not placed directly on the roof covering or on the surface (this to prevent possible damage to the roof covering or the clips). Check if all clips are clipped behind the edge of the curb.
The 20/00 EP curb is fitted as standard with a clear anodised aluminium profile (flashing) with 4 plastic(ASA) corner pieces and is, depending on the size of the curb, attached with stainless steel self-tapping screws with Nyplas washer. This way you can easily pull up the roof covering.
To achieve the right air tightness, we recommend that you also seal the curb on the rafter construction.
Screw the curb to the fixed roof construction through the indication line of the flange (wood screw 5.2 x 60 mm or steel screw 4.8 x 60 mm). Start 7.5 cm from the ends with a maximum centre distance of 30 cm.

Important warning: when installing an openable version with a built-in actuator in the curb, please pay special attention. There is a risk of drilling into the control casings or the electrical components. This can lead to damage or malfunctions. Always be careful and check the position of all components before drilling.
